The DoodleBops - Season 2 Viewer Comments (March 2)

March 1   March 2   April 1   April 2   April 3

We miss Mazz! My Friend, and I are Both 12 years and love the DoodleBops , But the second SUCKS! I MEAN AS SOON AS WE SAW THE 1ST EPOSODE OF THE SECOND SEASON I SCREEMED OUT WHAT THE @!@#$ HAPPENED HERE! My friend got so upset because of deedee's new skimpy, slutty hemline that she started swearin' too! We miss Mazz, And the new Make-up I mean There like asleep or hUNG OVER! THERES ALREADY TO MUCH PUNK ROCK AND SLAMMA JAMMA AROUND HERE ALREADY SO WHATS WITH THE NEW COSTUMES! iT'S SO DISTRACTING AND WHATS WITH NEW DJ CHARACTER HES SUCH A @!@$$%% ya know what I mean !

I agree that something is odd with DeeDee. I came to this web site because I thought it was a different person now. Maybe it's the same girl, but she certainly looks different. Maybe it's just makeup.

please bring back the old doodle bops show. I hate that they cut the last song. My son does not even get up & dance when it comes on anymore. Too much graphics, not enough songs, and dancing/

hi i just want to say keep up the good work, my kids love you. and also keep on doing what ur doing. thanks , mom

WOW.... It wasn't broke so why did you try to fix it. MY 4 year old loves the Doodlebops and heck even my teenagers enjoyed watching it with her and so did I. But today we saw season 2 and I have to say the 4 year old wasn't as interested, the teenagers and I just walked away. I came to this site to make sure you hadn't switched out all of the charaters. They look so different. The new manager just doen't do it like Maz did (I suggest you get her back). Everyone looks like they lost tooooo much weight during the break. The sound even sounds different. Put it back to the way it was because the new stuff just doen't work.

I wouldn't say my kids and I are "big" fans - but my two year old and four year old do watch it fairly regularly, which it why after seeing an episode of season II this morning, I was actually prompted to do an internet search for the show.

I never thought I'd be commenting on the format of a children's show - BUT WHAT THE HECK? The new Maz is anything but, the computer graphics are annoying, and DeeDee should not have changed her look. It's a show for 4 year olds! - not 14 year olds (or 33 year olds for that matter). The producers have obviously made the mistake of trying to appeal to the wrong audience, and in the process are perpetuating the hazardous sterotype that "slimmer" is "better."

I'm disappointed in Disney - but certainly not for the first time.

I think that DeeDee is really pretty! I think that I like her hair because it is really poofy!!

We love the doodlebops especially the first season. The makeover is getting a little getting used to. It was nice seeing the doodlebops going outside in all their episodes, it makes for a good example for all the kids instead of being in the club house or studio. The only other thing no offense but Jazz just doesn't do it for a replacement for mazz. We still enjoy watching may daughter is 3 and we can't wait until they come to the U.S.

My little brother Jayden is a big fan of Rooney and Moe!!!!

We Love the doodlebops, but don't care to much for all the changes, my daughter doesn't seem to enjoy it as much. It is to flashy and I think is to busy and bright for little ones to enjoy, and we want DeeDee to be the way she was which was perfect. We have all the videos and I guess we will just watch the old ones, we were so excited about the new season and now we are not. How sad for my daughter who loves the Doddlebops.

WHERE'S MAZ!???? I have to agree with some of the other parents, the old season was much better. Bus Driver Bob seems different too. I don't really care for the new cat/dj guy, I don't see how he fits into the show. And again, where's Maz? The new lady is not that great IMO. We continue to watch but hope someone will miraculously change it back!

I was reading the other parents comments on season two - and I completely have to agree. We watched one for the first time yesterday - the switch a roo one (we've been mostly watching season 1 dvd's.) But I was completely disappointed. I didn't like Dee Dee's new look - thought it was definately too mature for a preschoolers show. Most definately didn't like all the computer effects. One of the best things about the show was how it was realistic and encouraged imagination w/o all the glitz and glamour. It was fun and simple. You even took the flags out during the plege and computer inputed them - it's just tacky. My 20 month old and I love season one - even as I type she's watching the DVD - she'll dance, say some of the words and tells me she wants to watch the bops. But last night she wouldn't watch one minute of it. Instead she decided to play. I was even babysitting a 3 yr old and 5 yr old and the very astute 3yr old even commented how it was different. I even pulled out the cover for the dvd to compare the credits. DeeDee just disn't seem like DeeDee. I also miss Mazz. The new lady has a great voice and reading this website - tons of accredidations - but not the same essence as Mazz. She just didn't seem as much a part of it all. But my biggest complaint of all would definately have to be all the extra computer junk - from the flags to the lights - and the tent type stuff that came up when they were singing the get on the bus song. I think the creators need to go back to their original game plan before you completely ruin a good thing and loose all the fans you've so quickly gained. As it stands, we'll just keep watching the dvds of season 1 before we bother with season 2. It's a shame really - some times we forget that simple really is better. You had a great fan base before the changes - why would you change it? But we love season 1!

I am very surprised to see that you've announced that pre- production of season 3 has started and that there are no major changes planned. I continue to see parents writing in, expressing dissatisfaction with all of the changes from season 1 to season 2. With neither the production company nor the Disney channel, responding to these concerns and moving on with season 3, shows total disregard to what your fans think of the show. I no longer allow my two year old son to watch the "new" Doodlebops. I honestly thought with all of the feedback coming in, that you would have returned to some of the original concepts from season one. We miss the "old" Doodlebops!

Is it a new Dee Dee ? She looks so different!

My 9month old daughter loves watching The Doodlebops. But what happened to Maz? The new one just isn't the same and she is very boring. I think the show shoukd go back to some of the old stuff. Is the show ever coming to PIttsburgh, PA?

My two year old grandson wants to watch nothing but the doodlebobs. He wakes up at 4am and wants to watch the doodlebobs. We have a DVR and record the shows. We watch the doodlebobs all day long. I love the show my husband walks around all day singing the doodlebob song. He sing is at work when he goes the store while driving. We are hooked. They are our family.

oh my god! what happened to the old doodlebops looks? They look ugly now! And mas what happened to her? forget this new girl "Jazz". my kidS dont like her! And they all miss seeing mudge...they want to see him more then just at the joketime! And my kids dont like audio murphy. we want the old doodlebops back! my kids cry cause they want on doodlebops and i put it on and its the new ones and there crying saying this isnt doodlebops...kids are gonna stop watching them if you dont switch it back!!!!! WE WANT THE OLD DOODLEBOPS BACK!!!

My son loves your show and he is turning three on April 22nd he would love to have a doodlebops party. where can I buy party supplies?

My 2 year old little boy used to love being able to watch the Doodlebops and since resently he doesnt want to sit there. My son always would jump around to the songs that they had and now that the songs and everything have changed, he isnt dancing. Where's Mazz? I really liked her. She was fun and was always so entergetic. It seems that you guys are trying to appeal to the older croud then you are the kids. DeeDee's outfit is something that you wouldnt even want your child to wear. If you guys are trying to be role models to the younger kids you guys are bring the wrong impression to them. Please bring the old Doodlebops back. Alot of parents would be very greatful.

I have to agree with many of the comments on the website. The new lady jazz is plain and boreing. DeeDee's dress is now too short and tight. This is for kids not teens. You use to do more things outside and in the real world we are not so fond of the new sets and the "recording studio".

The reason I looked up this site today is because of the show that aired today. I spend a large portion of my day trying to get kids to settle down and be a little more quite. To have todays show be all about being soo loud!! I turned it off because I dont want to listen to screaming and yelling anything at 730 in the morning!! You need to start thinking of the parents when you are doing things with the show. It might be the kids that watch the show but it is the parents with the remotes!!

Um guys -??? READ ALL THE BLOGS ABOUT YOUR SHOW! We (parents and kids alike) liked the ORIGINALITY of the ORGINAL show!! We mean it, get rid of the new stuff except dont bring back the crap you took away. The original songs WERE BETTER. Lisa has a new costume that looks dumb. What the heck did you do with the hair? Rooney looks better but DeeDee? UGH! Listen to your audience people!!

My daughter is 14 months old and LOVES to watch the Doodlebops. Although I have to tell you, we saw a brand new Doodlebop on Saturday and the characters looked slightly different and the show was not exactly the same and she was not interested at all. We love the old Doodlebops.

Much like the Coca-Cola company in the 80's, YOU MESSED UP BIG TIME when you messed with the original formula. The makeup made me think that you had replaced Dee-Dee! WHERE IS MAZ? GET HER BACK before you loose your entire audience. You know, parents are watching this show as well and we can see our children's faces flush with confusion when the don't recognize their old "friends."

Dee-Dee's new costume makes her look like a floozy! Change it back.

WHO is that new character pretending to be a DJ? OMG, he has the personality of a paper bag.

Get MAZ back and put everything back where it belongs. Jaz is not a good character and you need to get rid of her.

I have two small children, a 2 year old and an 8 month old, who absolutely LOVE the Doodlebops! I've never seem an infant that mesmorized by any one thing before! She just started crawling and would come from down the hall when she hears the theme song begin. AMAZING! Although I try to limit the TV watching during the day, the Doodlebops win over everything else - coloring, crafts, playing outside, etc. Well, all of that changed with Season 2. I can appreciate the ideas and energy put into the new season, but why change a good thing? Now my girls would rather turn the TV off when they come on. I can't pinpoint one thing about the new format, it is all so disappointing. Knowing how crazed my kids were about them, my 7 year old neice called to tell me that I shouldn't let my kids watch the Doodlebops anymore, cuz DeeDee's skirt is too short and she isn't a good role model anymore! A 7 year old! I've read other people's comments and agree that it is no longer a valuable show for my toddler to watch and interact with. We used to look forward to each episode, now we hope that an old episode sneeks in there instead on the new ones. I don't expect the producers to change back... but some sort of transition to this new concept might have made it more acceptable for the very impressionable preschool/toddler age group. All of a sudden, their 'idols' are completely different (DeeDee appears to be a different actress) and Mazz is just gone without explanation? How sad is it to look at your child when they say "Where's Mazz? I want Mazz!" and you have no answer? If it's too late to change back to the original, please include an episode to help with the transition and introduce these new characters! Please! If Mazz took another job, or moved far away, say so... she's gone but certainly not forgotten! And has fame gotten to their heads? Making a video is more important than the things they used to do... like play outside everyday!!?? I certainly hope you take your valuable viewers comments to heart and reintroduce some of the original concepts and ideas - that was what made us all fall in love with DeeDee, Rooney and Moe to begin with - we could all relate to the issue of the episode!

Other shows, like The Wiggles for example, have enhanced and changed their production with much more ease to the child viewer. The new changes and computerized episodes with The Wiggles are much more acceptable when the characters you know and love remain the same.

Thank you for taking the time to read my comments - I will give the new Doodlebops one more try with my girls, but no promises. I think your creators are looking to another age group with this season... I'm just not sure you realized you'd be losing one to gain another.....

Im 10 and I like the doodle bops.I like the theme songs and the other songs especialy the "Get On the Bus" song.I like it as much my 4 year old brother and my 6 year old brother.

i love love the doodlebpo show and i love love rooneydoodle u are the best eve and this is the best show ever i love love love love love love and i always will i love you rooneydoodle and i love playin the gutair.

My niece and my daughter are fans of the Doodlebops. My neice is 3, she knows most of the songs by heart, her fave doodle is Moe "cuz he's loud". My daughter, who is 8 won't admit she likes the Doodlebops as much, because it's a "babyshow", but she 'has to watch with my neice, so she won't be lonely." Her first guilty pleasure. My mother and I enjoy the show, too. But we love watching the girls singing along with the catchy tunes.

My two year old loved the Doodlebops, we even had to shorten it to ddb if they weren't on because he would instantly start crying Doodlebops and want to watch it. This new look, however does not seem to enchant him as much. There is too much flash. I think they forgot what their target audience is. THe show seems to be more teen friendly than preschool friendly. I really enjoyed watching it with him because the songs and music were catching. We don't care for the new music style either, it's not as easy for him to sing along with.

I think the old show was perfect and I don't understand if you were so successful with the original format, why did it change. WE MISS MAZZ!!!! Thei new Jazz just doesn't have the pizaz that MAzz did. Here words seem to be forced and not natural.

CHANGE IT BACK, PLEASE!!!!!

I have a question. Why does Dee Dee look different in the Season 2 shows versus the first season? There is something different about her and I can't figure out what it is. My husband and I are taking our 2 year old to a Doodlebop concert on the 13th of April and we are all excited to go!!

Its Odd That there are so many people posting on this message board that seem to be older then the standard DoodleBop Viewer (3 to 5 yr old's)

I Just had to come online and look up a messsage board such as this because I hate the DoodleBop's and I will not let my child watch such idiotic nonsence, especially Lipsyching ones

We watch the DoodleBops every day!! My boys are 6 and 1 and I'm not giving my age... The show is great! Been wondering what you guys looked like without the makeup on, found ya'! We look forward to you coming to the Cleveland area. Roony your a cutie!! Shhh don't tell...

I love the new season. I think it's great. I also love deedee's new look.I think she looks a whole lot better.I like most of the new songs. I don't really care for jazz she's ok but I really miss Mazz

as much as I love the doodlebops movies and the show! I would honestly rather watch the show then the movies! in the show they look more realistic! my 8 months old son has 2 doodlebops DVD's but he would also rather watch the TV show! I think they should use the same costumes in both the show and they movies! Even the pledge is different, and theres Mazz and Jazz! why are they so different!

what happened to MAZ!!!!! i miss her and i miss the full song at the end. cuz that is my song i love the new out fits and jackets especially the new senary for get on the bus.

please bring back mazz!!! please bring back the old songs!!DONOT get rid of bus driver bob Donot get rid of the song at the end it really sucks that it is being cut out. when watching the show the children are not dancing like how they used to i donot feel this change was good i have two children (10 months and 3 years) and they both love the show very much my 3 year old was very disappointed when the song was cut off at the end . i still love it it's just the changes, i feel, were not for the better (come on a tighter and shorter skirt on Dee Dee there was no need for that)

The second season of Doodlebops is awful! Jazmin looks to be on her last leg, the new characters are awful and supposed "improvements" Arent.

Is there a new DeeDee this season? If so, why?

MY SON, JOSEPH LOVES THE DOODLEBOPS SEASON1 AND MAZZ. SEASON2 DOESN'T EVEN HOLD HIS ATTENTION. I AM SURE SHE IS A GOOD PERSON BUT JUST DOESN'T HOLD A CANDLE TO MAZZ. (SORRY JAZZ) LOOKS LIKE THE DOODLEBOPS FORGOT THIER PURPOSE, ENTERTAINING CHILDREN. THEY HAVE GOTTEN TOO FLASHY AND COMMERCIAL. WE ALL LIKED THE DOODLEBOPS WHEN THEY WERE MORE WHOLESOME AND INNOCENT. WE WERE GOING TO COME TO CANADA TO SEE THEM ON OUR NEXT FAMILY VACATION BUT NOW WE FIGURE IT WOULD BE TO DISAPPOINTING. WHO EVER MADE THESE CHAGES DID NOT POLE THE VEIWERS TO SEE IF IT WOULD FLY. I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF THIS IS THE LAST SEASON OF THE DOODLEBOPS BECAUSE OF IT.

We love the Doodlebops at our house. When they first aired, my husband and I caught ourselves watching it even when the children (3 girls) weren't around!!! I must say that I miss Mazz! Jasmin is nice, but she's no Mazz! What happened? I do love that they now have stage outfits that have more glitter in them! However, I like the old closing number arrangement better, and it seems the lesson of the episode is not as prevalent at times. Overall, we still love the Doodlebops and hope they come see us in Dallas, Texas really soon!!! -Texan Mommy

They got rid of their ears!!! That's what's different!!! They've also toned down on the makeup, jazzed up their outfits, gave them new instruments... I like the new look!

HAVE READ MOST OF THECOMMENTS--I AGREE AND DISAGREE. JAZZ IS NO MAZZ AND A MISTAKE, DEEDEE IS FINE IN THE NEW DRESS AND HAIR, MOE IS STILL OKAY WITH HIS NEW HAIR; AND ALTHOUGH YOU HAVE TRIED TO MAKE IT BETTER, THE MUSIC IS A LOT DIFFERENT AND NOT AS EASY FOR THE CHILDREN TO LEARN. I THINK ROONEY IS MORE RELAXED AND THAT IS GOOD. MOOSE IS USED A LOT MORE AND I REALLY LIKE HIS INTERACTION WITH THE GROUP. I'M 63 AND AN AVID WATCHER BECAUSE OF MY SATISFACTION WITH THE CONTENT AND THE TALENT OF THESE AMAZING YOUNG PEOPLE. BOB, YOU'RE COOL, TOO. LOVE THE NEW BUS!

The new 2006 season of The DoodleBops are AWFULL!!! Please change them back to the original version. There is way too much computer graphics and too much going on the whole time. They just run from one stage to the other with no actual theme for the show. The songs are not as catchy and too disco/pop for young kids. PLEASE CHANGE THEM BACK. Remember with little kids sometimes the simple things are the best, in this case it really is.

Love the website it had great info. My daughter is 4 years old and we love watching the Doodlebops together. I think they are fun and teach alot of great things. I mostly love all the colors. I give my thanks to the whole cast and crew for putting together a really great show for kids to watch with their parents. Kimm Dassi

HI my name is tibor i'm 10 years old.You all are graet actors!!! I love dedy's knock knock jokes!,and i love mows acting because its funny when he pulls the rope!!,and last but not lest rowny i love his charecter its really humorish!!!!Well I have to go to shcool so,,O.H.!!!! say hi for mug and bus driver bob for me ok..I'm out the door.Bye!!bye!!!

Listen I used to get an hour a day 1/2 when my son would be entranced with your show. Your new season dosen't intrest him. Why did you change? Obviously the people that make the decisions around there don't have kids and there men, because only a man would try to fix something that isn't broke. You should take a page for Sesame Street they don't change the way Big Bird looks or where he lives and they have been on forever. Please go back the way it was I need that 1/2 hour. Bebe

The new Doodlebop look was a change for my 21-month-old. he watched it, but not with the same enthusiasm. The costumes seem more actor friendly to give them better movement. I agree they need more definition in the eyes and near the mouth to get clear shots of their expressions. We miss Mazz too. She was more animated and her lines were delivered well. Jazz seems to have a bit more difficulty delivering the lines so they seem a bit stiff. She doesn't seem to interact with them very well either. I know she's a great Jazz singer, but Mazz had more character flair and interacted well with the rest of the cast. We still love all the Doodlebops and Bus driver Bob. Audio Murphy is ok. He doesn't add or detract. The videos are a bit much. My son really loved when they interacted with the kids outside. He always laughed or smiled. Overall, we can get used to the changes of the Doodlebops themselves, the mainstay of Busdriver Bob, and some songs. We just would like the return of finding Moe (easier for little ones instead of CGI), either return of Mazz or helping Jazz find a better delivery (singing it or something that is unique to her to make it flow better), and the interaction of going outside, interacting with the kids. The other touches can stay or go.

What happened to the Doodlebops this season? My 22 month old daughter has loved the Doodlebops (she calls them the "boodops") for about 10 months now. I had always thought that they were a great show with a great message and felt good about my daughter watching them. Now I see Deedee with a tighter shorter dress and dancing with more sex appeal. That is not what I want my 2 year old (or any other 2-10 year old) to idolize. You need to think about what audience you are trying to attract and make your show more appropriate for that age group. My daughter hardly cares about the Doodlebops being "hip."

Also, the new music has too much of a jazz or disco flare to it. The older music was much more up-beat and encouraged my daughter to get up and dance.

Finally, what happened to Maz? I agree with the other moms who have said that it looks like Jaz is reading off of a cue card. We loved the old Doodlebops and actually look forward to reruns rather than the new episodes. Please consider making at least some minor adjustments to Deedee!

VERY UNHAPPY WITH SECOND SEASON. DOES ROONEY REALLY NEED TO WEAR BLUE PLEATHER ONSTAGE? DEEDEE WENT SHORTER AND TIGHTER FOR THE FIVE YEAR OLDS? MOST UPSETTING IS MAZ/JAZ. DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT JAZ HAS BETTER STAGE PRESENTS. THE ENERGY IN JAZ IS LACKING. WOULD LOVE TO SEE MAZ BACK. MELAINA HOWREN

what have you done to the doodlebops? Runie looks washed out, the sexy look is not working for DeeDee and I can't figure out what is wrong with Moe, but he just soesn't look right. And where is Madge????? The show was perfect, what did you do?

My daughter is only 6 months old, but she loves to watch the Doodlebops on tv as much as her father & myself. If we are "anywhere" & start singing, "Let's get on the bus..." she will turn her head & grin. She knows what you're singing. Keep up the good work & clean entertainment for my child.

Can you just let me know if you got a new DeeDee or did she just get a new wig? Also what happen to Mazz?

Our sons are two and a half and six months. Our six month old loves the colors and music. Our two and a half year old loves everything about the Doodlebops! My husband and do too! We love all the songs and find ourselves singing them during the day, even when there is no music playing. We miss Maz though! Jasmin is good, but it just isn't the same! One request we do have is for the Doodlebops to come to Albany, New York for a concert! We are huge fans and our sons would love it!!!!! Thanks, Jeff, Kim, Jacob, and Caleb

my children love the doodlebops but, there seem to be a lot repeats. It might be because of an ending season ,but I 'm not sure when the season starts or ends.

When will you have doodlebop dolls and toys.. my son is facinated with them.. Thanks for having such a great show for kids.. When are you coming to the Los Angeles area?

Can't get enough of the Doodlebops?
