The Doodlebops are excited about their new song high and Low, but need to put high and low sounds to the words. They hear a Robin singing, and Moe thinks he can capture the sound in a jar.

Then in walks Mazz with a tape recorder and microphone. Rooney is very excited to record sounds for the song.

The Doodlebops travel the city, recording different sounds from people and things they see.

It's a backwards kind of day at Doodlebop Central. Even Moe forgets to hide, and forgets to pull the rope. Everything DeeDee says is nonsense. It is just a very strange day. Mazz says DeeDee is using scat, which is a simple nonsense talk. The Doodlebops learn that they can have fun with this different kind of day.

Mazz teaches them a new song about backwards days, and assures them that everything will be normal by the end of the day. When Bus Driver Bob picks them up, the Doodlebops find that even he is having a backwards kind of day. Fortunately by concert time, DeeDee is back to normal.

Once again, Rooney has invented something. This one is a funny looking musical instrument, called the Honkophone. When he tries to play it, the Honkophone makes an obnoxious sound, and Rooney is upset that he can't even play his own invention.

The other Doodlebops and Mazz then try to show Rooney that they can't do things and must keep trying to get better. The Doodlebops don't let him get frustrated, but assure him that practice makes perfect. Rooney is still upset though and wants to give it all up.

Fortunately, Rooney figures it out right before the concert, and is able to make beautiful music for the kids.

Roar Like a Dinosaur

Moe begins roaring and carrying on and wants to Doodlebops to guess what he is acting like. After many silly guesses they finally guess dinosaur, and they are right.

Mazz arrives and they begin talking about books when she sees Moe's dinosaur library books.

They look at Moe's book and realize how hard it is to remember dinosaur names. Rooney knows a song that will help.

They see dinosaur tracks and decide to follow them. On their walk, they see 'dinosaurs' everywhere. When they arrive at the concert venue, they find the source of the dinosaur tracks.

Jumping Judy

Mazz's cousin Judy, also known as Jumping Judy is going to be visiting today. While waiting for her, Rooney shows the Doodlebops his new invention, which they can use in their new act at today's concert. The invention is called the Super Mega Noiseatron and it can replicate any sound. Moe wants to try, and Rooney tells him to just push one button at a time. Moe ends up breaking the invention, and now they don't have a new act for the children at the concert today.

When Jumping Judy arrives she teaches them a new song and dance. She then convinces the Doodlebops to play follow the leader. They have fun on their walk, and when Bus Driver Bob arrives, Judy climbs aboard with the Doodlebops. Upon arriving at the concert venue, the Doodlebops still don't have the promised new act. Mazz helps them to realize that Jumping Judy can help, and she becomes the first special guest to join the Doodlebops onstage. Jumping Judy sings and dances the new song with the Doodlebops during this concert.
