Hey. How come Deedee likes like a differnt girl on the new
show...she sounds different, looks different, and moves
different...is that the same girl?
|
|
My four year old daughter and I love to watch the Doodlebops! I
find I can't take my eyes off it either! Even my seven year old
likes it. He says the "orange one" is his favorite. My daughter
of course loves the "pink one"!It is obvious the Doodlebops have
strong performing arts backgrounds. Keep up the great work! Oh,
and I love you, Rooney!!
|
|
Why did Disney have to ruin a good thing. My daughter will NOT
watch the new show. She HATES it!!!!!! We still love the
Doodlebops (and the actors), but not the new format, set,
costumes (Why is DeeDee's dress so tight now?) or new
characters (Bring back Mazz, lose Jazz and the DJ thing!!!).
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!!!!!!! I am so
disappointed.

|
IS DEEDEE A DIFFRENT PERSON?
SHE LOOKS DIFFRENT, JUST WONDERING

I must admit that my first impression of the Doodlebops
was, "this is weird" - with the big ears and big hands. Then,
I saw my son's reaction - he went crazy! My son loved every
episode from season 1 - we have watched them over and over
again. My husband and I even found ourselves singing the
songs! My son who is two years old, used to be glued to the tv
when your show was on - laughing, dancing, and trying to say
knock knock jokes throughout the day. Now, with the new
season, I am sadly disappointed. I had to look at the website
to make sure that there wasn't a new actor playing Dee Dee. I
feel that you have "gone Hollywood" and tried to "glam" things
up too much. The new Doodlebops seem more geared towards older
children vs. toddlers (from the first season). It's almost as
if you're trying to make the Doodlebops look like superheroes
with them running through the alley, towards the bus. We
really loved the unique look of the old doodlebops (makeup, big
ears, etc.); the visits to the park; bus song/dance with Bob;
final song and pictures of the character; and of course Mazz.
My son now leaves the room, while the Doodlebops are on. The
charming and simple approach to the old Doodlebops episodes is
greatly missed! Thank you.

my favorite song is the dinosaurse song. my daughter loves your
show and she is two and she will sit still just to be able to
watch you infact she watched three of your shows then went to
bed. thank you
|
|
Hoorible new show - all the quiant innocence and quirky fun is
gone. Skimpy clothes, too much "glam", don't think the
new "Mazz" is appealing to kids, different sound .... the list
goes on. Sorry to say goodbye, but I won't allow my kids to
watch it any longer; not an image I approve of with the new "re-
vamp".

Lisa Lennox gave a phone interview to a fansite as Dee Dee
(deedeerooneymoe.net) and explained that she was grateful for her
more form-fitting dress, as the old one in season one would flip
up during lifts or spins-- as heard in the interview:
How do you like the new look?
Deedee:" Oh...love it! I mean that hoop was getting in the way
for some of our lifts and dance moves and ya know, I'd be showing
my little pink panties sometimes and ya know, it was a nice
change. Now it's a little more confined and I'm just going with
the times. It's 2006. "
So for those that are uptight about the "sexier" outfit, at least
this one's not putting on a show in the wrong way. Like she
says, its 2006. Barney-type baby-songs aren't hip. Kids
shouldn't be talked down to either with their music. I say its a
change for the better.
|
|
My 6 year old daughter finds all of the changes very positive. She likes Jazz, the new
adjustments to the costumes, the theater entrance...everything!
|
|
I don't mind the new season as much as some others. However, I
agree with the majority--Jazzmin stinks!
I think the new look will take some getting used to, but it's
because it's different, not because it's bad.
My four-year-old and three-year-old are still as entranced by it
as always.
|
|
Still not sure if it is a new Dee Dee, but I know that Audio
Murphy (great name, if you get WW2 trivia) is Poochie from the
Simpsons. An attempt to hip up a show that needs nothing. My
2 year old LOVES the "D Bops" (her name) as it was...but she
walks away from Audio Murphy. She loves Moe, hiding around the
house yelling "Where Moe?", pulling ropes, drumming...the show
was great as was...bring back Mazz, feed DeeDee and send Audio
Murphy back to his foxhole.
|
|
Have to say, We love the Doodlebops and have been watching every
show since they started. I am not liking the new stuff going on.
I loved Mazz, she will be greatly missed in our household, not
sure about Jazzmin or whatever they are calling her. She talks
too slow. And we don't like the DJ Murphy either. We loved when
they went outside and found stuff to do and see. The costumes
and make up are not so bad, just updated, but please do not
change anything else. We prefer the old shows to the new ones,
my kids even ask if it is going to be a new show or an old one.
|
|
My daughter is 3 and Loved the 1st Season one. When she watched
the 2nd season she asked me to turn it. I think the Bright
colors, computer graphics, Shinny Costumes, Hair hidding their
ears, Less makeup, Costumes making them look VERY skinny. I
liked the Plump costumes my self it made DEEDEE more Spunky,
Jazz, The new Audio guy whatever his name is, Real quick with
the story line like there itching to get the eposoide over with
just doesn't make this show worth watching anymore. I was also
goin go to dress my daughter as DEE-DEE for Halloween but now
DEE-DEE is Skinny and looks just awlful so Re-Thinking it. I
think we'll have to find another show to watch if it doesn't
change I think that's sad. -Parent of a 3 year old that might
stop watching.
|
|
I have your songs stuck in my head. I think they are very cute
and it's entertaining to see what we hear about next. A job
well done! Why do they wear all that make-up? It makes them
seem scary... my three year old is afraid of them because of
their skin.
|
|
We miss DeeDee's ears!!!! My 5 year old noticed right away. Why
all the changes??? Bring back the old format.
|
|
i would have to agree with the above comments. My husband and
i aren't too thrilled with the new season. Don't get me wrong,
we love the "bops" as my 17 month old daughter calls them. We
had to check the credits to see if DEE DEE was the same gal,
she just doesn't seem the same and the
new "Maz"...seriously...no energy...looks like she is reading a
cue card!
|
|
I agree with the other posters. My son and daughter are 3 and 21
months and love the Doodlebops. My son keeps asking me where
Mazz went, and I don't know what to tell him. He likes Audio
Murphy, and I do too, but I agree that some more outside scenes
like last season would be nice. I am most disturbed by all of
the computer graphics and green screen effects. They are simply
too much on the eyes and I had heard they can contribute to ADD
as well. I probably won't let the kids watch this season after
this week. They don't like the songs as much as last year's, so
we'll stick to listening to our Doodlebops CD in the car and
watching the old shows on DVD. I really hope that next season's
shows are tuned down a bit! The only thing I like about this
season is that Busdriver Bob seems to be getting more air time.
He's great!

Im 14 years old and Doodlebops is my FAVORITE show. ive watched
EVERY episode with my baby sister. when i saw the newer ones
it was such a disapointment. Its cool but theres way tomuch
going on at once. i just wish that they could be back
normal..And what happended to Dee-Dee.. Her dress is way
shorter. and she has a different hair-do.?
|
|
My 2 year old daughter just loves the DoodleBops. Her and I
will sit and watch the show while she has her breakfast and
lunch. Now that my daughter is starting to talk more she trys
to sing with them and now I'll ask her what she wants to watch
and she will says bops. I personally think that they all sound
great. What happened to Lisa Lennox? Did she leave the show as
well? I noticed that in the beginning of the new season that it
doesn't look like Lisa Lennox and pleaseee bring back Mazz.
Jazz just doesn't sound as good as Mazz. Please I beg of you to
bring back Mazz.
Thank You,
Mother of 2 year old in New Jersey

My 21 month old grandson loves the Doodlebops and so do I. I
have some of their videos downloaded on my computer. We spend a
lot of time on the computer watching the "Bops" as he calls
them. When are the Doodlebops videos going to become available
in the United States?
|
|
Well I am the mother of a 21 month old, who fell in love with
the Doodlebops when she was about 9 months old. It was one of
the few kid shows that her dad & I didn't really mind watching
with her. We knew every episode forwards and backwards, and
started to think they were never going to make any new
episodes. We were so happy when we started seeing the
advertisements for a week of new episodes. Now after seeing the
week, I must say I am a bit disappointed. My daughter still
watches, but isn't as captivated as she was. I think it has a
lot to do with the new music format. I just don't think the new
songs are as catchy for kids. That's one thing I think needs
to be reviewed. I don't think the character Jazz was a great
idea. I wasn't a big fan of Maz either, but Jazz is like an
imitation of what you already had. If you weren't bringing Maz
back, I think you should have exlored a different option for
that role rather than a copy cat. I like the new costumes. I
think the solid painted faces look much better then those
stretchy things they use to wear around their neck & faces. I
like the new dance numbers & I like the new studio concept. I
don't even mind the new DJ charcter. He adds much more then
those talking manequin heads. But, I think something is missing
from the show now that the doodles don't seem to take any
outings. I think most of the shows seem to being lacking
variety for that reason, and I think that their was a little
more educational concept with the old format. For that reason I
think they might want to consider a little more balance in
future episodes. They can still do recording studio sessions,
but get back to the doodles showing the other side of their
personalities a little. All new concepts are not a wash, I
just think a little tweaking might be needed to keep your loyal
Doodleboppers happy as well as your new fans.
