Doodlebop Photo Op - Pilot Episode, April 11, 2005

Today's song: Getting Along
Secondary song: Read a Book

The phone rings, and Moe answers. Rooney and DeeDee make a lot of noise, being very inconsiderate of Moe. Because of this, Moe is unable to hear well, and doesn't completely understand what the person on the phone is telling him. What he does hear is that the person on the phone is a photographer who wants to take someone's picture for a magazine cover. It will be only 1 person, but Moe did not hear who it would be.

With this information, trouble ensues as the Doodlebops each feel that they should be the one to appear on the cover. After various contests and races, they are still tied, and don't have a winner for who will be on the magazine cover. Finally they arrive at the concert hall. They decide to tell the photographer that they are a group, and if he wants one of them, he must use all of them for the cover.

So who does the photographer want a picture of? Tune in to find out!

Today's Joke

The Doddlebop Main Lesson of the Day

The Doddlebop Second Lesson of the Day
Read a book; it will take you places you never dreamed of.

Wobbly Whoopsy

Today's song: Wobbly Whoopsy (complete with dance moves)
Secondary song: On the move, lets go

Today is DeeDee's birthday. Rooney and Moe pretend they forgot, but blindfold DeeDee and decorate the room. For her birthday DeeDee wrote a new song and dance, called Wobbly Whoopsy. She wants Rooney and Moe to dance wearing tutus during the concert. They say no, because it is way to girly.

Rooney bakes a birthday cake; Moe causes him to step on it. This is very frequent this episode, as several cakes are ruined, and several gifts from Rooney are also ruined.

Bus Driver Bob gives DeeDee a small version of the bus, called the Doodlebop Express. At the concert hall, Mazz gives DeeDee a red necklace. Rooney and Moe still have nothing for DeeDee, not even a card.

They decide to give DeeDee a special gift. They will wear the tutus and do her new song and dance.

Today's Joke
Knock-Knock
Who's there?
Snow
Snow who?
Snow body but me!

The Doddlebop Lesson of the Day
The cost of a gift does not matter; just give from your heart.

O Sole Moe

Today's song: You're Not Alone
Secondary song: Getting Along

Today Mazz lets Moe know that he will have a solo in today's concert. Moe is very worried about this, and doesn't want to have a solo. He goes into a trance he is so scared, and Rooney and DeeDee actually put him under the rope and for the first time, they tell him to pull it. He does. Then he confesses he is afraid of messing up during his solo.

DeeDee and Rooney spend the afternoon convincing Moe he will do fine, and they will be there to support him.

Today's Joke
Knock-Knock
Who's there?
Tank
Tank who?
You're welcome!

The Doddlebop Lesson of the Day
You can do anything when you have the support of friends and family.

What When Why?

Today's song: Did Ya ever?
Secondary song: Count to 10 (Lyrics)
Third song: Wobbly Whoopsy

Today, Rooney drives everyone nuts because he is asking questions, all the time. DeeDee wants to go fly a kite, Rooney keeps asking questions.

The location of tonight's concert is different, and Rooney won't stop asking about it.

After Mazz finishes talking to a friend in France, Rooney asks what Bonjour and Hola mean (Hello in French and Spanish).

Rooney then breaks out into song, singing a portion of today's concert piece, Did Ya Ever?

Finally, it is time to go fly a kite. DeeDee and Moe have fun flying kites while Rooney sits on the grass and continues to ask more questions.

When Bus Driver Bob picks them up, Rooney immediately questions where he is going. Mazz had forgotten to call Bob with the concert venue change. Fortunately Rooney asked all those questions, and knew exactly where to go.

Because of questions Rooney also knew how to say hi to those kids watching in France and Spain, where today's concert was being shown.

Today's Joke
Knock-Knock
Who's there?
Snow
Snow who?
Snow body but me!

The Doddlebop Main Lesson of the Day
Asking questions is good. If you need to know it is okay to ask.

The Doddlebop Second Lesson of the Day
Read a book; it will take you places you never dreamed of.

Abracadeedee

Today's song: Abracadabra
Secondary song: You can do it

When the doorbell rings, a package DeeDee has been expecting finally arrives. The Alacazam Magician's Kit turns DeeDee into a very dangerous magician. Mudge the Cat, Moe's kazoo, Rooney's Shoe and Mazz' bracelet all disappear in her magic box. Unfortunately, DeeDee doesn't know how to get them back.

The Doodlebops load up the box everything disappeared from, and head to the park so DeeDee can practice her magic. She gets better, but still no Mudge.

On the bus to the concert Bus Driver Bob's hat becomes a casualty of DeeDee's magic.

It is outside the concert hall where things finally begin to come together for DeeDee. During the concert, DeeDee is able to return all of the lost items, including Mudge the cat.

Today's Joke
Knock-Knock
Who's there?
Justin
Justin who?
Justin the neighborhood thought I'd drop by!

The Doddlebop Lesson of the Day
Practice makes perfect. Keep trying and you will get better.
